PAULE BAILLARGEON AT LES HERBES ROUGES
UNE FILLE SANS FUSIL - NOVEL - 72 pages
Fourteen times Huguette was harrassed, touched, kissed against her will, raped. Fourteen times, she got up, shivering in shame and covered in blood. And, like all Huguette, she closed in on her secrets.
Fourteen times, Huguette survived. Now that she is old, the words of an old poem comes to mind : " O Madam, why this sorrow that follows you?"
So, Huguette sets out to extract from her memory these events that marked her. Exiled in a windowless container in the middle of a beautiful and arid landscape (as in her favorite movie A Man Without a Past), she devotes herself entirely to the task. Une fille sans fusil is her story, that of a Huguette who would have liked to be Joan of Arc.
